Our Eye on the EU 2026 | Call for participants

  • Do you scroll through the news and wonder what’s true and what’s not?
  • Do EU decisions affect your life, but feel distant, confusing or out of reach?
  • Have you noticed misinformation, stereotypes or biased narratives shaping how people talk about Europe?

Do you have opinions, questions, stories, but rarely the space or tools to share them?

Politics isn’t just for politicians. It’s about everyday life, and the stories that shape it. It’s about education, climate, migration, rights, social justice.

Inter Alia’s Our Eye on the EU (EEU) invites young people to critically explore EU politics, media narratives and disinformation, and to actively shape the conversation. Through a youth-led digital newsroom and multimedia platform, participants will learn how to analyse EU policies, fact-check media content, spot bias and misinformation, and produce their own independent, fact-based stories about Europe.

Who is this open call for?

  • young people (18-30 years old)
  • interested in EU affairs, politics, media, advocacy, social issues,
  • care about issues like climate justice, education, migration, human rights, gender equality or social rights,

  • enjoy questioning information, spotting misinformation or telling stories that challenge dominant narratives.
  • passionate about investigative journalism

We encourage applications from young people who:

  • experience fewer opportunities or barriers to participation,
