UNESCO invites UOI to submit applications for the second edition of the UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Established by the 212th session of the Executive Board of UNESCO, the Prize is awarded every two years to five talented young scientists under the age of 40, from each five regional group of UNESCO, for their contributions to research, education or scientific cooperation.
Each laureate will receive USD50,000 (Annex I Statutes of the Prize), to help launch their careers and share the ideas universally.
We encourage you to take part in this call.
Applications should be submitted until 15 April 2025 (midnight, UTC+1) by the Member States through their National Commissions for UNESCO, or by non-governmental organizations in official partnership with UNESCO and active in the fields covered by the Prize, such as UNESCO Chairs, Category 2 Centres, international scientific unions, and universities.
