Software Engineer – 3D/VR/AR Developer Autonomous Driving

NIKI is looking for graduates of Technical University Departments / Schools of Sciences/ Computer Science, Mathematics, and Software Engineering or similar discipline to design and develop software solutions for the automotive industry.

What to expect

  • Work on agile software projects and develop proof-of-concept in Connected & Autonomous Driving areas.
  • Work on pathbreaking applications such as tangible digital products, networked and automated driving, the Internet of Things, Car2Car communication, the digital city, and digitizing our customers’ development processes.
  • Manage and realize industrial and research-driven projects from the ideation to the concept phase and implementation up to validation and rollout with our customers.
  • Active contribution of your ideas to our software development process.

Task Description

  • Implement 3D, VR, AR, and real-time applications for industrial and research projects with the Unreal Engine (C++ and blueprints).
  • Develop innovative software solutions in connected & autonomous driving, visualization, virtual validation, mobile communications (V2I, V2X), or sensor technology.
  • Design virtual worlds and innovative simulations in the Unreal Engine, from level design to scene construction and lighting.
  • Create modular solutions for high-quality rendering and optimization of the performance of rendering applications.
  • Apply gamification for virtual validation.
  • Implement processes and methods for the development of digital twins.
  • Active contribution of your ideas to our software development process.

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Very good knowledge of C++.
  • Good knowledge of C#.
  • Familiarization with Unreal Engine, Unity, or other graphics engines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent command of English and technical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one of the following areas: 3D modeling, HLSL / GLSL, OpenGL, OpenCL, Vulkan, glTF, middleware, sensor data processing, and Docker.
  • Software development according to Test-Driven-Design, CI/CD, Agile.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Good command of the German language.
