About the role

We are looking for a Head of Antifraud to beresponsible for leading the bank’s fraud function. This role ensures the bank is protected against financial fraud and identity theft while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and supporting a secure customer experience.

What you’ll do

Fraud Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and implement the bank’s fraud risk management framework.
  • Establish fraud detection, prevention, and response policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, PSD2, OCC guidelines).

Fraud Detection & Prevention

  • Oversee fraud monitoring systems, analytics, and AI/ML tools to detect suspicious behavior.
  • Manage teams that investigate internal and external fraud cases.
  • Reduce false positives while balancing customer experience.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with risk management, compliance, IT security, operations, and legal teams.
  • Work with regulators, law enforcement, and industry bodies.

Operational Oversight

  • Lead investigations of complex fraud cases (e.g., identity theft, payment fraud).
  • Oversee customer education and awareness programs on fraud risks.
  • Ensure timely reporting of fraud incidents to regulators.

– Technology & Innovation

  • Drive adoption of fraud detection technologies (machine learning, biometrics, real-time transaction monitoring).
  • Evaluate emerging threats like deepfake fraud, synthetic identity fraud, and AI-driven scams.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of banking operations, fraud risk, and financial crime regulations.
  • Strong experience in fraud analytics, cyber fraud, and transaction monitoring systems.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with regtech, fintech, and digital banking.
